Venice is a hip-hop musical by Matt Sax and Eric Rosen that reworks Shakespeare's Othello into a story about two brothers, Venice and Markos Monroe, in a divided near-future city recovering from a terrorist attack and years of military occupation. Venice, the city's newly elected mayor, marries Willow while Markos schemes against him, echoing the jealousy and betrayal of the original play.
