The Seven reworks the Greek tragedy Seven Against Thebes as a hip hop musical. It follows brothers Eteocles and Polynices as they fight for control of the city of Thebes, told in rhyming verse over a score that mixes calypso and R&B. Written by Will Power, it premiered Off-Broadway at New York Theatre Workshop in 2006.
