A musical based on Vicki Baum's novel and the 1932 film, set over a weekend at a luxury hotel in 1928 Berlin. The intersecting stories include a fading ballerina, a dying bookkeeper out to spend his last days in style, a broke baron, and a typist hoping for Hollywood. The Broadway staging was directed by Tommy Tune.
