110 in the Shade

Set during a drought in Depression-era Texas, this musical follows Lizzie Curry, a lonely, sharp-tongued woman whose family fears she will never marry. A traveling con man named Starbuck arrives promising rain for a fee, and his attention pulls Lizzie between him and File, the town's reserved sheriff. It is based on N. Richard Nash's play The Rainmaker.
