Call Me Madam

Call Me Madam follows Sally Adams, a wealthy Washington hostess appointed as the American ambassador to the small fictional country of Lichtenburg. Between throwing parties and navigating local politics, she falls for the country's prime minister while a young American aide falls for a local princess. Sally Adams was based on the real Washington hostess Perle Mesta, who served as US ambassador to Luxembourg.
