Two Americans on a hunting trip get lost in the Scottish Highlands and walk into a village that appears on no map. Brigadoon wakes for one day every hundred years, and one of the visitors falls for a woman who lives there, which leaves him deciding whether to go back to New York or stay. The Lerner and Loewe musical opened on Broadway in 1947.
