A musical with music, lyrics and book by William Finn, the first of his three shows about a man named Marvin. Marvin looks back at his wife, his high school sweetheart and his teacher while working out that he is in love with a man. It played a workshop at Playwrights Horizons in December 1978 and opened on that theater's mainstage in February 1979.
