Based on the 1990 John Waters film, this musical is set in 1954 Baltimore. Wade "Cry-Baby" Walker, an orphaned greaser who leads a gang of outcasts called the Drapes, falls for Allison, a good girl from the squeaky-clean Squares. It premiered at La Jolla Playhouse in 2007 before Broadway in 2008.
