Jolson is a biographical musical about entertainer Al Jolson, following his career from 1920s Broadway stardom and the making of The Jazz Singer through his marriage to Ruby Keeler and his later comeback entertaining American troops. The show includes one scene of Jolson performing in blackface, as he often did on stage and screen during his career.
