Of Thee I Sing is a political satire musical with music by George Gershwin, lyrics by Ira Gershwin, and a book by George S. Kaufman and Morrie Ryskind. It follows presidential candidate John P. Wintergreen, who runs on a platform of love and holds a contest to pick a first lady. It was the first musical to win the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
