Raisin is a musical adaptation of Lorraine Hansberry's play A Raisin in the Sun. It follows the Younger family on Chicago's South Side in the 1950s, where an insurance payout from the father's death forces the family to decide between competing plans for a better life, from a new house to a business of their own.
