Mack and Mabel

Mack and Mabel tells the story of silent film director Mack Sennett and his star Mabel Normand, from her discovery as a young woman in 1911 through the Keystone Studios years of slapstick comedy. Told in flashback, it follows their turbulent romance as Mabel's ambition to make more serious films pulls her toward another director and away from Sennett.
