A Michael John LaChiusa musical based on Joseph Moncure March's 1928 poem. In 1920s Manhattan, vaudeville dancer Queenie and her abusive clown lover Burrs throw an all-night party of gin and excess that turns toward violence as Queenie is drawn to a guest named Black.
