Lestat is a musical with music by Elton John, lyrics by Bernie Taupin, and a book by Linda Woolverton, based on Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles. It follows the vampire Lestat de Lioncourt from his making in 18th-century France through the centuries and the company he keeps. The show had its pre-Broadway tryout in San Francisco in late 2005 and opened on Broadway in 2006.
