Martin Guerre

Set in 16th century France, the show follows Martin Guerre, who abandons an arranged marriage to his wife Bertrande and leaves for war. When his friend Arnaud returns claiming to be Martin, presumed dead, Bertrande knows he is an impostor but chooses to accept him and falls in love with him. Their life together is threatened when the real Martin Guerre comes home.
