A country-flavored musical based on the 1980 John Travolta film, with a book by Aaron Latham and Phillip Oesterman. Set at Gilley's honky-tonk near Houston, it follows the rocky romance of Bud and Sissy among the bar's mechanical-bull riders and dancers. It played a Florida tryout before its short 2003 Broadway run.
