A musical by Michael John LaChiusa, based on Federico Garcia Lorca's play The House of Bernarda Alba. After her husband's funeral, Bernarda locks her household into eight years of mourning, and her five daughters turn on one another over the one man who could free them. It premiered at Lincoln Center Theater's Mitzi E. Newhouse in 2006.
