Marlene is a stage play with songs by Pam Gems about the actress and singer Marlene Dietrich. Set largely in a Paris theater dressing room before a concert, it follows the aging star as she prepares to perform her familiar standards. It premiered in 1997 and later reached the West End and Broadway.
