An Austrian musical by Michael Kunze and Sylvester Levay about Empress Elisabeth of Austria, known as Sisi. It traces her life from her engagement to Emperor Franz Joseph through her 1898 assassination, framed by her lifelong love-hate fascination with a character who is Death itself.
