Caroline, or Change

Set in 1963 Louisiana, this sung-through musical follows Caroline Thibodeaux, a Black maid working for a Jewish family, and her strained bond with the household's young boy over the loose change he leaves in his pockets. It plays out against the civil rights movement and the death of President Kennedy.
