Stephen Sondheim's musical thriller is set in 19th-century London and follows Benjamin Barker, a barber wrongly banished by a corrupt judge. He returns as Sweeney Todd to take revenge, and with the pie-maker Mrs. Lovett he turns his murders into the filling for her meat pies.
