Moulin Rouge! is a jukebox musical adapted from Baz Luhrmann's 2001 film, set in 1899 at the famous Paris nightclub. It follows Christian, a young American writer, who falls in love with Satine, the club's star performer, while she is being courted by a wealthy duke. The score stitches together dozens of well-known pop songs.
