My Fair Lady is a 1956 musical by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe, adapted from George Bernard Shaw's play Pygmalion. Set in Edwardian London, it follows phonetics professor Henry Higgins, who bets that he can pass off Cockney flower seller Eliza Doolittle as a lady by teaching her refined speech.
