Based on Victor Hugo's novel, this sung-through epic follows ex-convict Jean Valjean across decades of 19th-century France as he builds a new life while the relentless policeman Javert hunts him. Valjean raises the orphan Cosette as his own while revolution stirs on the barricades of Paris.
