Anais Mitchell's sung-through folk musical weaves together two Greek myths: the young musician Orpheus and his love Eurydice, alongside Hades and Persephone, the rulers of the underworld. When Eurydice, cold and hungry, follows Hades down to his industrial Hadestown, Orpheus journeys after her to bring her back.
