A musical built on the music of Nigerian Afrobeat pioneer and activist Fela Kuti. Set in his Lagos nightclub the Shrine in the 1970s, it follows Kuti through song and dance as he recounts his life, his clashes with the military government, and the attack on his Kalakuta compound.
