Set during the final days of the Vietnam War, this sung-through musical follows Kim, a young Vietnamese woman, and Chris, an American GI, who fall in love before the fall of Saigon separates them. Loosely based on Puccini's opera Madama Butterfly, it traces Kim's struggle to reunite Chris with the son he never knew.
