Water for Elephants

A musical based on Sara Gruen's 2006 novel, with songs by PigPen Theatre Co. and a book by Rick Elice. Set during the Great Depression, it follows Jacob Jankowski, a young man who joins a traveling circus as its vet and falls for Marlena, the star equestrian, while caring for an elephant named Rosie. The staging uses acrobatics and puppetry.
