Start ratingSet in Pittsburgh, the musical follows Alex, an eighteen year old welder by day who dances at a nightclub by night while dreaming of a spot at a prestigious dance academy. A romance complicates her plans, but she channels it into her final audition. The show is based on the 1983 film and had its world premiere in Plymouth, England in 2008.
