A musical with music by Jule Styne and lyrics by Bob Merrill, based on the life of comedian and Ziegfeld Follies star Fanny Brice. It follows her rise from a poor New York girl to a celebrated performer and her troubled marriage to gambler Nicky Arnstein. The 1964 Broadway production starred Barbra Streisand.
