Hot Shoe Shuffle: The New Tap Musical (Original Australian Cast Recording)
1993
Book by Larry Buttrose and Kathryn Riding
Hot Shoe Shuffle is an Australian tap dancing musical about seven brothers, billed as the Tap Brothers, who learn that their long absent father has died and left them an inheritance. To claim it they must revive their father's old act and bring in their estranged sister April, who has two left feet, and the family works through old resentments as they rehearse the routine together. It premiered in Australia in 1992 and is built around American big band and popular songs from the 1920s through the 1940s.
